Maya Crolene, Visitor Engagement Associate
Maya (she/they) has a passion for art, creativity, and history. Working at Edge On The Square helps her explore stories and narratives of local Asian American artists while engaging in deeper conversations with the community in Chinatown. Maya graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a bachelor's degree in Art and often explores her own identity and stories in her creative work. Maya enjoys working events, teaching and educating, and forming meaningful connections with visitors at Edge on the Square. She is committed to increasing dialogue about underrepresented groups, specifically POC, AAPI, and the LGBTQIA+ communities. Her work is inspired and influenced by many other Asian Artists and she looks forward to continuing her involvement in Chinatown and increasing her knowledge of San Francisco’s culture, history, and local communities.
